What are the pigeons doing 1.They are leaving droppings here and there. 2.The pigeons are flying madly to a girl. ◆Step 2 Grammar 现在进行时 含义 1.现在进行时表示现在(说话瞬间)正在进行的动作或存在的状态,常与时间状语now 连用。当句中出现“Look!”“Listen!”等暗示词语时,往往说明后面句中的谓语动词所表示的动作正在发生,应当也用现在进行时。 Jim is swimming now. Listen! The little girl is singing in the classroom. Don't talk! I'm doing my homework. 2.现在进行时还可表示现阶段正在进行的动作或当前一段时间内的活动,常与these days,at present (目前)等时间状语连用。 My grandpa is working on the farm these days. Sam is studying in Beijing at present.

We are not / aren't playing football. 现在进行时的一般疑问句结构: Am / Is / Are +主语+动词-ing形式(+其他) 肯定回答:Yes,主语(人称代词) + am / is / are. 否定回答:No,主语(人称代词) + am / is / are + not. —Is your dad watching TV —Yes,he is./ No,he isn't. —Are you cleaning your bedroom now —Yes,I am./ No,I'm not. 现在进行时的特殊疑问句结构:疑问词+一般疑问句 对特殊疑问句的回答,不能用yes或no,而要根据实际情况来回答。当疑问词在句中作主语时,现在进行时的特殊疑问句采用陈述语序:疑问词+ is / are +动词-ing 形式(+其他) —What are you doing —I am cooking dinner. —Where are they playing —They're playing under the tree. —Who is running in the park —My friend. 动词-ing形式的构成规律 1.一般情况下,直接在动词词尾加-ing。 talk → talking work → working 2.以不发音的字母e结尾的动词,去掉e,再加-ing。 write → writing make → making 3.以辅音字母+元音字母+辅音字母的重读闭音节结尾的动词,如果末尾只有一个辅音字母,双写这个辅音字母,再加-ing。 sit → sitting run → running ◆Step 3  Exercise(详见课件)
