一、概念
原级：即原形
比较级：表示“较......”或“更......一些”的意思
最高级：表示“最......”的意思
如：I am as tall as my brother.
我和我哥哥一样高。
如：I am taller than my sister.
我比我的妹妹高。
如：I am the tallest in my class.
我是我们班最高的。

英语中的形容词副词通常用三种形式来表达事物的等级差别，分别是原级、比较级和最高级。
比较级指两者之间的比较，
最高级指三者或三者以上的比较。
一、概念
Language Practice
注意：英语中有些形容词说明形状、材质等，还有形容词没有程度可分或其本身就表示某种程度，故而没有比较级和最高级。常见的有：
right正确的 wrong错误的 excellent最好的
final最后的 last最后的 possible可能的
first第一的 east东方的 empty空的
wooden木制的 impossible不可能的 favourite最喜欢的
round圆的 golden金色的 square方的
二、结构
比较级和最高级的构成有规则变化和不规则变化。
规则变化 情况 变化方式 例词
单音节词及少数双音节词 一般情况 直接加 er 或 est tall-taller-tallest/great-greater-greatest　
strong-stronger-strongest
以不发音的e结尾的单音节词 加 r 或 st nice-nicer-nicest　/large-larger-largest
wide-wider-widest　
以“辅音 + y”结尾的词 变 y 为 i 加 er 或 est easy-easier- easiest / busy-busier- busiest heavy-heavier-heaviest　
以一个辅音字母结尾的闭音节单音节词 双写辅音字母，再加 er 或 est big- bigger- biggest/hot-hotter- hottest

二、结构
比较级和最高级的构成有规则变化和不规则变化。
规则变化 情况 变化方式 例词

二、结构
不规则变化需要特殊记忆。

far farther更远的（只指距离）further更远的（指距离）更深入的（指程度） farthest；furthest
old older 较老的，较旧的；长辈的（指年龄、新旧、血缘）；elder 长辈的（只指血缘） oldest；eldest

如： This bike is as new as that one.
这辆自行车和那辆自行车一样新。
Hiking is as interesting as swimming.
徒步和游泳一样有趣味。
否定：
Hiking isn't so interesting as wimming.
徒步没游泳有趣味。
2、比较级
如：This bottle is bigger than that one.
这瓶子比那瓶子大。
3. 最高级
加the，再加表示比较范围的短语（of + 人/物，in +地方）。
如：Tom is the tallest in our class.

1.“越来越...”
如：It is getting warmer and warmer.
天气变得越来越暖和。
We should make our country more and more beautiful.
我们应该让我们的祖国越来越美丽。
2.“the +比较级，
the+比较级”表示“越…越…”
如：The more you eat ，
the fatter you will be.
你吃的越多，你长得越胖。
The sooner, the better.
