教材分析 本课使用的英语教材是外语教学与研究出版社出版的《英语（基础模块）》第二册。本单元的主题范围是“人与社会”，涉及的主题内容是科技发明与创造。本单元包括科技展览、校园科技节、科技发展、发明创造等学习内容。旨在使学生感受科技的迅猛发展。引导学生思考科技发展对日常生活的影响，并发挥创造力和想象力，畅想未来生活。
学情分析 学生们英语基础普遍薄弱，文化素质参差不齐。部分学生学习热情不高，缺乏积极的学习动机，缺乏持之以恒的精神；极少数学生词汇量贫乏，听说读写能力较差。虽然他们知识基础比较差，但智力素质并不差，他们思维敏捷，动手能力较强，适应能力强，易接受新事物新观念。

出现问题的原因 1.没有更详细的深入学生中间去进行调研分析，对学情分析不到位 2.没有给学生足够的时间去阐述自己出现错误的思维过程，没有做针对性的指导 3.缺乏一定的教育机智
改进措施 1.走到学生中间去，最真实的了解不同层次学生的困难，并因材施教 2.注重教育评价，及时给予指正与鼓励 3.关心学生，鼓励学生多分享个人经历与体会，实现知识和思维能力的迁移
