There be句型
There was a big ice city. There were many people.
有一座很大的冰城。有许多人。
There be句型表示“某处有/存在某物”。当句子中有多个并列主语时，be动词的形式要与离它最近的主语的单复数形式保持一致，这就是There be句型的“就近一致”原则。
例句 There is an apple and two bananas in the plate.
盘子里有一个苹果和两根香蕉。
