Thailand is a beautiful country. It’s in Southeast Asia. The capital of Thailand is Bangkok. People in Thailand speak Thai, Chinese and Malay. Thai is the national language. “Thai” means people.
How’s the weather in Thailand It is usually hot and dry, but it rains a lot in July and August.
People call Thailand the “Land of Elephants”. Elephants are good helpers in Thai life. They can clear land, cut trees, carry heavy things, and even look after babies!

e.g.The capital city of China is Beijing.

2. They can clear land, cut trees, carry heavy things, and even look after babies. 它们可以扫地，砍树，搬重物甚至是照顾孩子。
look after 意为“照顾”, 可与take care of 进行互换。
e.g. The young lady is looking after her baby.
这个年轻的女士正在照顾她的孩子。
3. If you want to visit Thailand in April, remember to take a raincoat with you. 如果你想在4月份去泰国游玩，记得带上雨衣。
本句为“if 引导的条件状语从句+祈使句”结构。 if 意为“如果”，可引导条件状语从句，作为主句发生的条件，表示假如从句动作发生，主句动作就会发生。if 引导的条件状语从句可以放在句首或者句末，位于句首时，要用逗号隔开。 当主句为一般将来时，或者主句是祈使句或者含有情态动词时，从句应用一般现在时代替一般将来时，即“主将从现”。
e.g. Do exercise every day if you want to stay healthy.
如果你想保持健康就每天锻炼。
小助记：if 引导的条件状语从句
(if)条件句放在前，逗号要放主句前；
(if)条件句表条件，主将从现是关键。
remember to do sth.意为记得去做某事，强调动作还没有做；相当于don’t forget to do sth.
e.g. If you want to go on a picnic, remember to wear your sunglasses.
如果你想要去野餐，记得戴着你的太阳镜。
take sth. with sb.意为“随身携带某物”
e.g. I always take my umbrella with me. 我总是随身带着雨伞。
