拓展：不定式表目的时，可替换为 in order to do= so as to do（不可置于句首）

pass 的用法
1.（及物vt.）
①传递
搭配：pass sb. sth. = pass sth. to sb.
Eg.Please pass me the pen. = Please pass the pen to me.
②通过（考试、关卡等）
搭配：pass the exam /test/driving test 反义短语：fail the exam /test/driving test
eg：He passed the English exam with good grades.
③度过（时间）
搭配：pass the time （= kill the time）
eg：We often play games to pass the time after class.
2. 不及物动词（vi.）：经过（某地）（后不接宾语）
搭配：pass by + 地点
Eg.A bus passed by the school gate just now.
名词（n.）通行证；车票;及格分数
a bus pass 公交卡 /a train pass 火车通票 get a pass in math 数学及格
over 的用法
→介词（prep.）
①在…… 正上方（无接触）
辨析：over（垂直上方） vs on（表面接触）
eg：There is a bridge over the river.
②越过；跨过
搭配：jump over the wall /climb over the fence
Eg.The cat jumped over the chair and ran away.
③超过（数量、年龄、时间）
搭配：over + 数词=more than
Eg.Over 200 students took part in the competition.
搭配：talk over sth. 讨论.../think over sth.仔细思考...
Eg.Let’s talk over the plan for the trip.
③在…… 期间
eg：We had a good time over the summer holiday.
→形容词（adj.）
表 “结束的”，仅用于 be 动词后
eg：The meeting is over. You can leave now.

famous businessmen who started out as programmers用法：先行词是 businessmen（指人），关系代词 who 在从句中作主语，不可省略。
拓展：若先行词指物，关系代词可用 which/that；若先行词指人且在从句中作宾语，可用 whom/who/that，也可省略。
