In order to show love for the flood-hit areas, our school held a fundraising activity on Friday afternoon in the lecture hall.
At the beginning, our headmaster delivered a speech to introduce the situation of the disaster-stricken areas and call on people to show love, which had gained a positive response. Afterwards, the school leaders, our teachers and the student representatives all walked onto the platform and donated the money. In the end, we all sang a song to express our sincere wish to the disaster-stricken areas.
This activity is of great significance. Not only did it inspire us but also it made us believe that any difficulty can be overcome if united.

To raise students’ awareness of labor(劳动意识), our school organized an activity to rebuild a deserted(废弃的) garden on campus(在校园) last Friday.
Over 60 students from each class took an active part in the activity. On/Upon arriving at the garden, all the students were divided into two groups. One group was responsible for(负责) weeding the garden and the other group was in charge of (负责)planting flowers. After one and a half hours’ hard work, the activity came to an end(结束). Tired as the students were, they had great fun and sense of achievement.

Last Sunday witnessed a friendly basketball match between students and teachers in our school, which is aimed at enriching students’school life.(时间+活动+参与人+地点+目的)
