Dear classmates,
Today I’m honored to share my English learning experience with you. Joining the school English Debate Club a year ago was key to my great progress, and I hope it inspires you.
At first, I was afraid to speak English in public. But in the club, I had to prepare debates, discuss topics with partners, and express my views bravely. Every practice pushed me to think in English and improve my fluency. I also learned a lot from my peers’ excellent expressions.
This experience not only improved my speaking skills but also taught me a valuable lesson: English learning needs courage and practice. Don’t fear mistakes—only by using it actively can we master it. Let’s keep trying and make progress together!

Today I’m glad to share my experience in the English Reading Club, which has greatly improved my vocabulary and reading ability.
Joining the English Reading Club has been a game-changer for my English. Every week, we dive into short stories and classic excerpts together. When encountering new words, we first guess meanings from context, then check dictionaries and share notes—this helps me memorize words naturally. We also discuss plot details and writing styles, which pushes me to read more carefully instead of skimming.Gradually, my vocabulary has expanded a lot, and I can understand long passages faster.
Joining the reading club has taught me that learning English isn’t a lonely journey. With the right ways and companions, we can all make steady progress. Let’s embrace reading and grow together!
