重读 (stressed words)
一般来说,句子中传达重要意义的实词常常重读,重读时,单词的音会发得更高、更长、更响亮。
在句子中起粘合作用的助动词、代词、连词、冠词、情态动词等常常会弱读。
一个句子中的个别词重读了,而其他词没有重读,句子听起来会很有节奏感。
句子中的重读通常有如下两种情况:
一、语法重读
语法重读是指根据语法结构的特点而将某些单词重读。在口语中通常重读的词有名词、重要动词、形容词和副词,其他的词通常不需要重读,如冠词、介词、代词和连词等。
Dogs are easy to look after.

二、强调重读
强调重读是指我们用英语进行交谈时,为了强调某个成分而将其重读。在同一个句子中,如果把不同的成分进行重读,那么整个句子所强调的意思也会随之改变。
