Be a news reporter
An earthquake hit Tangshan, China at 3:42 a.m. on 28 July
1976. Before the earthquake, strange things happened in the countryside. The number of people who were killed or badly
injured in the quake was more than 400,000 and nearly everything in the city was destroyed. But hope was not lost. Soldiers, doctors, nurses and workers were sent to help the city. Food and water were brought into the city. Slowly, Tangshan began to revive itself and now the new city has become a home to more than seven million people with great improvements in transportation, industry and environment.
