◆because引导原因状语从句

◆since也可以用来引导原因状语从句, 表示显然的或已为人所知的理由, 常译为“因为; 既然”。如:
Since everyone is here, let’s start.
既然大家都到齐了, 我们就开始吧。

◆ so that引导目的状语从句
如果从句表示的是主句行为的目的, 该从句就是目的状语从句。目的状语从句可以由so that引导。特点：从句中一般都含有表示可能性的词语, 比如could。其他可以表示可能性的词语还有will, would, can, could, may, might, will, would, should等情态动词或助动词。
e.g. I got up very early so that I could catch the early bus.
为了能赶上早班车, 我很早就起来了。
so that 引导目的状语从句时，可以与表目的的动词不定式 (not) to do … / so as(not) to do … / in order (not) to do … 互换。
注意：主、从句主语不一致时不能转换。
e.g. I take exercise every day so that I can keep healthy.
= I take exercise every day (in order) to keep healthy.

List your heroes.

● Write down everything you know about your hero.

A famous British nurse
Florence Nightingale was born on 12th May 1820. In 1851, she was trained as a nurse. Three years later, she went to a British military hospital so that she could help British soldiers. Before she arrived, many soldiers died in the hospital because it was dirty. Florence Nightingale worked hard to make the hospital clean and save soldiers’ lives. When she returned to Britain in 1856, she became a national hero. Florence Nightingale wrote several books about nursing, and she also started a school to train nurses. She died in London on 13th August 1910, when she was ninety years old.

International Nurses Day (IND) is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. Florence Nightingale is widely considered the founder of modern nursing.
