The global use of streaming media has provided fans of niche sports (小众体育)
with easy access to international sports programs, and for followers of traditional major
sports, a way to get to know niche sports. The increase of viewership platforms in the
digital age has enabled many fans to explore their favorite niche sports deeper, while
others actively discover new sports to follow and enjoy. Accordingly, fan clubs for niche
sports have been growing.
Among the most noticeable developments in recent years that catch the fans’
attention is the rise of niche sports leagues (联 盟). They attract thousands of fans to
watch their games, and their television viewers reach millions. Given how quickly sports

followers warm up to the leagues, everyone seems to know about them, which brings up
some questions — who are watching these games and what makes a niche sports fan
According to a recent Global Web Index report on niche sports followers, a niche
sports fan is a person who follows or watches at least five niche sports leagues or events.
More than half of niche sports fans fall within the 25-44 age range. They are excited
about the sports content shown on streaming media, and are more likely to pay for such
services compared to the general population. And they present a higher likelihood of
using many kinds of second screens in sports seasons, including laptops, smartwatches,
and smartphones.
Pickleball (匹克球) is a great example of a niche sport that has developed from a
relatively unknown activity to a US national passion. So, what will the next pickleball
be Managing Director Peter Cosco from Isos Growth Advisory, a sports investment
company, said, “Technological advancement helps fans get involved in sports, but it
doesn’t make it certain. Developing fan love for a new sport, especially a niche one,
takes careful management of resources, a well thought-out plan, good relationships with
the right people, and the ‘play’ factor. That is, is it fun to play and fun to watch ”
24.What is paragraph 1 mainly about
A. More people are aware of sports’ benefits.
B. Technology contributes to niche sports’ popularity.
C. Fans have a positive effect on sports development.
D. Sports platforms have made huge economic gains in recent years.
25.Why is the rise of niche sports leagues mentioned
A. To explain why streaming media is not needed.
B. To prove they have the largest number of live viewers.
C. To lead to questions about niche sports viewers and fans.
D. To show they are more popular than major sports leagues.
26.What is a characteristic of niche sports fans
A. They are from a fixed age group.
B. They are socially disconnected in daily life.
C. They are highly dependent on digital services.

D. They are willing to watch sports on single devices.
27.What does Peter Cosco think is necessary for the success of next Pickleball
A. Technological development.
B. A lot of advertising through social media.
C. Strict rules and professional training for leagues.
D. Careful management and wide enjoyment.

Some police departments in the United States are experimenting with AI tools to help
them produce reports. Police officers who have tried the AI chatbots (聊天机器人) praise
the technology as a time-saver. Yet some government lawyers, legal experts, and others
have expressed concerns about the AI-produced reports.
Axon, known for its body cameras, has developed a chatbot that uses the same
technology as ChatGPT. This AI tool, named Draft One, is being tested by officers like
Matt Gilmore from Oklahoma City. He describes the AI chatbot as a “game changer”
for police work. In the past, after completing a search, the officer would spend another
30 to 45 minutes writing up a report. “This meaningless work takes me ages!” Matt
said. But this time he used AI and the process (过程) only took eight seconds. And he
described the report as better and more exact than one he could have written himself.
However, Axon’s CEO, Rick Smith, also noted legal and ethical (道 德 的 )
concerns about the tool. Government lawyers advise the police to be careful with the tool.
They want to make sure that police officers are responsible for writing their reports.
Prosecutors (检察官) never want to get an officer on the stand who says, “Well, the
AI wrote that. I didn’t.”
Chatbots that use AI technology are not mistake-free. Sometimes these chatbots can
produce false information, which worries Andrew Ferguson, a law professor at American
University. “I am concerned that the technology would cause police officers to be sort
of less careful with their writing,” he said. A police report is important in determining
whether a suspect is guilty (有罪的) or not. However, human-created police reports also
have problems, and it is not yet known which kind of report writer, human or AI, is
more dependable.
第 6页 共 13页
28.What is the main purpose of the article
A. To explain how AI chatbots work for the police.
B. To encourage the use of AI in police departments.
C. To discuss the advantages and concerns of AI tools in police reports.
D. To stress the legal and ethical problems of using AI in police reports.
29.According to the passage, what is one advantage of using AI to write police reports
A. It helps officers to complete a search.
B. It avoids the risk of false information.
C. It makes sure that reports are always right.
D. It frees officers from boring daily tasks.
30.What can we infer about AI technology from Paragraph 4
A. It may make police officers lose their jobs.
B. It may make officers less serious about their reporting.
C. It might make the police more careful with their writing.
D. It can produce reports more dependable than human-written ones.
31.What is the best title for this passage
A. The Future of AI Chatbots B. AI Chatbots Used in Police Reports
C. The Rise of AI Chatbots D. Technology Produced by AI Chatbots

Students who plan to use AI (人 工 智 能 ) tools to write their college admission
essays (文章) should think twice: Essays written by AI sound very similar to each other
and lack personal voice, even when details (细节) like race or gender are included.
Researchers from the Cornell University compared 30,000 college application essays
written by humans to ones written by eight AI tools. They discovered that AI essays
were easy to tell from actual human writing because they used similar sentence patterns
and repeated the same kinds of ideas.
“The admission essay is a chance for applicants to offer insights into who they are,
beyond all the structured information on the application form,” said Rene Kizilcec,
senior author of the new study. “AI tools can help students improve their writing and
are likely a good idea for weak writers. But asking for a full article will result in
第 7页 共 13页
something that just does not sound like any real applicant.”
The researchers explained that AI models cannot easily copy a person’s natural
writing style. This makes them undependable for important writing tasks like college
applications. When AI tools were asked to write from the view of a specific person,
such as “an Asian woman from California”, the results sounded even less human. The
essays often listed personal details in a flat and predictable way. Surprisingly, the team
found that another AI program could easily tell the difference between human and
AI-written essays. This means universities and colleges could likely find out essays
written mainly by AI tools.
First author Jinsook Lee advises high school students to use their own ideas to
brainstorm and write some simple essays, and, if allowed, use AI only to polish (润色)
their essays. Applying to college can be stressful, but Lee remembers her own
article-writing positively. “It was a great chance to look back on my life and my
background,” she said. “I think it was the first experience for me to be really
thoughtful.”
32.What is a problem about AI-written essays
A. They are short of a personal touch. B. They are always off-topic.
C. They use many difficult words. D. They hardly describe an event in detail.
33.What does the paragraph 4 mainly tell us about the study
A. Its use. B. Its findings. C. Its researchers. D. Its background.
34.What does Lee advise high school students to do
A. Use AI tools to improve their writing.
B. Turn to AI models for help anytime.
C. Depend on AI models to write essays.
D. Avoid using AI tools for any writing.
35.Which is the most suitable title for the text
A. Can AI Influence Students in College Writing
B. Should Students Use AI Tools for College Essays
C. Do Colleges Accept AI-based Application Essays
D. Will AI Change How College Students Write Essays

ll also probably get to a point where you want to do longer durations. And that’s
where looking at your schedule, finding a time that works during your day, and adding
it to your calendar will help.
Consider high-intensity interval training.
40 It calls for a shorter duration of exercise than traditional workouts, resulting in
less time commitment and fewer injuries overall. Plus, it can be done without equipment
in your home. Finding a personal trainer to help you structure its workout can be a great
help.
Do “Non-exercise” exercise.
Do you count playing with your kids and cleaning the house as exercise You should
— because they can all count towards your movement quota. Look at those everyday
activities as opportunities to help you get fit and keep moving.

第二节 (共 10 小题;每小题 1.5 分,满分 15 分)
Pablo Picasso, one of the most famous 56 (artist) in the world, created
paintings that now sell 57 millions of dollars. Recently, an art museum in
Canada used a special x-ray technique to discover new secrets in his famous work “La
Miséreuse accroupie” (The Crouching Beggar). It was common for artists 58
(paint) over existing paintings. During his “Blue Period”, Picasso frequently did this,
59 (possible) to save money. The Art Gallery of Ontario suspected this painting hid
another artwork underneath, but they didn’t know 60 it was.
Using x-ray fluorescence, scientists found that Picasso had painted over a landscape
painting. Interestingly, he turned the 61 (origin) painting on its side and
incorporated (包含) 62 (it) outlines into his new composition. The research team
also made 63 unexpected discovery: Picasso initially painted the beggar holding a
piece of bread in her outstretched arm, but later painted over the arm, leaving only her
coat visible in the final version.

This new x-ray method 64 (excite) both scientists and art researchers over
the past months. Not only is it cheaper than traditional methods, but the equipment is
also portable, 65 (make) it easy to examine other artworks. Many believe this
technology will help uncover more secrets hidden beneath famous paintings.

For the better part of the last ten years, I’ve been a housewife, a mommy, a
homeschooling teacher, a student, and even a founder of a club for sad parents. I’m
very tired.
This year, I decided to make things easier. I set a cleaning plan and gave myself

time each morning to shower, brush my hair, and change clothes. For a week or two,
it worked. Then I realized that doing those things wasn't real self-care. They were
things to make me look beautiful, not feel calm. I needed mental and emotional
self-care, too.
I started reading at night. It was my personal time to forget everything but the
fictional (虚构的) world I sank into. But I was so tired from the day that I’d read
two pages and fall asleep. If I managed longer, a dog would bark for attention. A cat
would scratch at the door until I let it in. A kid would wake up and need something.
Relaxing Not quite.
With kids at home, I couldn’t find any place that truly relaxed me. My anxiety
grew. Even with a plan, I always felt behind. Should I have read one more story to the
kids Was I patient enough Did I enjoy them enough, as time is so short
Then my favorite day of the year arrived — my library’s big book sale, where I
usually come home with no less than a hundred books. I had never missed it, not for
rain or lack of a babysitter. But this year, the workers said it would be the last year.
After more than twenty-five years, the people who ran it would be retiring (退休). No
one had stepped up to take their place.
“This can’t be the last year,” I said to my husband. “I’ve been coming here
for more than half my life!”
注意:
1.续写词数应为 150 左右;2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
“You should do it,” my husband said, pushing me forward.

M: How about ants They are easy to look e here and have a look. You
only need to put the ants into a glass box. The box is filled with special soil. So, you
don’t need to feed them. The most interesting part is that you can watch the ants
digging roads in the soil.
W: It sounds good. Do you sell both the ants and the box
M: Yes.
W: How many ants should I get at least
M: Eight at least. They can live three to six months.

第 8页 共 10页
56. artists 57. for 58. to paint 59. possibly 60. what 61. original
62. its 63. an 64. has excited 65. making
【解析】56. 考查名词。“one of + the +形容词最高级+名词复数”为固定搭配,意为
“最……之一”,所以空处需用名词 artist 的复数 artists。故填 artists。
57. 考查介词。“sell for...”为固定搭配,意为“以……价格售卖”。故填 for。
58. 考查动词不定式。“It was common for sb. to do sth.”为固定句型,意为“做某事对
某人来说是常见的”,此处 it 作形式主语,真正的主语是动词不定式,所以空处需用动词不
定式 to paint。故填 to paint。

a hard time adapting to the new life.
The courses are much harder than what I expected, and I often feel stressed because
I can’t keep up with my classmates. I also find it difficult to make new friends here,
which makes me feel lonely sometimes. Could you give me some advice on how I can
balance my studies and social life I would really appreciate it if you could share your
experience or tips with me.
Looking forward to your early reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节 (满分 25分)
“You should do it,” my husband said, pushing me forward. His words surprised me.
Before I could think, all eyes were on me, my heart racing. I wanted to refuse — too
busy with kids and chores, too tired for new commitments. But gazing at the library, I
remembered the joy it had given me since childhood. This wasn't just a job; it was a
passion. I took a deep breath and nodded quietly. No words were needed; I was
following my heart. My husband smiled, and my worries eased.
The moment I stepped into the library, I felt a strange calm. The lovely smell of old
books wrapped around me like a warm blanket. Sunlight streamed through the windows,
lighting up dancing dust motes. For the first time in years, no one needed anything from
me. Gently touching the books, each one held countless stories. Here, I was not a mom
or a teacher, but simply myself. In that quiet, soft space, I had found the peace and
self-care my heart had long been seeking.
