1.重点不突出，详略不得当
有的学生大篇幅描述体育特长、数理竞赛经历，仅用一句话提及英语能力（如“I am good at English.”），未说明语言优势如何助力论坛交流。重点内容缺失，无法体现与活动的关联性，易被判定为 “内容不切题”，内容分大幅降低。
2.优势表述笼统，缺乏细节支撑
申请信需通过具体事例、数据增强说服力，若优势描述空泛，会导致详略失衡、重点弱化。
3.遣词造句时句式使用过于单一
在英语写作评分中，句式的多样性和恰当运用是衡量语言能力的重要指标。若学生在申请信中句式使用过于单一，易因语言表达匮乏而失分，具体体现在下面两个方面：
①简单句堆砌，缺乏语法复杂度
I speak English well.I can communicate with others.I know about Chinese culture.I want to share it.
语言运用分可能被限制在 “基础层次”，无法进入“较高水平”或“优秀”档次。
②重复使用固定表达，语言表现力差
部分学生过度依赖“I think ...”“I can ...”“I have ...”等单一表达，导致用词单调、语气平淡。
