1.fitness n. --- fit (-tt-) adj.适合的；健康的；健壮的；胜任的 v. 适合；安装；（使）胜任（工作）；相配，符合
unfit adj. 不健康的；不合适的；不能胜任的
be fit for ... 适合.... fit in with （与…）合得来；适应
fit sb./sth. in/ into 为某人（或某物）留出地方（或空间）；抽出时间见某人或做某事
I'll try and fit you in after lunch. 我尽量午饭后抽时间见你。
We can't fit in any more chairs. 我们没有地方再摆更多的椅子了。

rather than 的用法：
①通常连接两个在语法上对等的成分，也就是说，它两边的词性、结构应该保持一致

②rather than连接两个并列主语时，句子谓语动词单复数的选择要用“就远原则”
The father rather than the brothers was (be) responsible for the accident.
Tom, as well as his two sisters, has (have) a strong interest in classical music.
Not only the players but also the coach was (be) excited about the upcoming final.
适用于“就远原则”的结构：rather than, together with, with, as well as, along with
适用于“就近原则”的结构：either... or..., neither... nor..., not only... but also..., not... but...（不是...而是...）
