五、 阅读表达。
“Conkers” is a children’s game in the UK. The game started in around 1850. English children collect the conkers(七叶树果) from trees in September and October. They use these conkers to play a game.

You need two players, two conkers and two pieces of string(绳子) about 20 cm long. Each player cuts a hole(洞) in the middle of their conker and puts a piece of string through the hole. The idea is to find the strongest conker.
One player holds up his string with the conker at the bottom. The other player then hits the first player’s conker as hard as he or she can. Then the first player does the same to the other player’s.

They keep doing this till one conker breaks(破碎). The strongest conker wins one game, so it is called a “one-er”. If a “one-er” wins another game, it becomes a “two-er” ...
Some schools stop children from playing “Conkers” because they think the game can be dangerous. Now there are online “Conkers” games.

2. If a conker wins four games, what does it become?

An unforgettable festival
My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. And I had an unforgettable one last year.
My parents prepared for the festival together. Mum bought new clothes for me and cooked much delicious food. My father cleaned and decorated the house. I tried my best to learn how to make jiaozi. At first, I didn’t do it well. But my grandma taught me carefully. Then I kept practising and I made it!
I was happy because I could make jiaozi by myself!
