The 24 solar terms help us understand how nature changes throughout the year and guide farming and daily life.
Rain Water arrives around February 19 or 20, reminding us of the increase in rainfall as the weather gets warmer. Grain Rain occurs around April 19 or 20. Farmers sow seeds then, and the rain nourishes the soil for a good harvest.
Qingming is also called “Clear and Bright ”or “Tomb-sweeping Day”.

Our ancestors observed nature and created the Chinese lunar calendar to guide farming and daily life. There are several solar terms for the spring season. They tell us about the coming of this beautiful season.
Start of Spring
It usually falls around February 4 or 5 and marks the beginning of spring. The weather starts to get warmer and we can see new plants grow and animals become active after a long winter.
