Let us learn to record the process of planting.
In the life skills class last week, we learned about agriculture and plant biology. The teacher gave us some seeds so we could observe the growing process of a plant. I picked some pea seeds and planted them in a small pot. I watered them every day. I hope my peas grow quickly!
Here are some of my observations on the peas’ growth:

Observations: The pea seeds grew into buds. They look like the English letter “Y”. My peas are growing quickly!

Weather conditions: cloudy, temperature around 19°C
Observations: Now, there are long, thin stems and some leaves. At the top of the stems are little flower buds! I put the pot in the yard. There, they can get some sunshine.

Weather conditions: rainy, temperature around 22°C
Observations: The pea flowers are in full bloom. Some are pink and some are purple. When the pea plants grow taller, I will give them a
shelf to climb on.
I know the flowers will fade and become pea pods. Growing a plant is not easy because it takes a lot of work. Farmers grow millions of plants every year to feed us. That is an amazing thing!

grew into
grow into 的多种含义：
(1) 表示“逐渐成长为；发展成”(强调从幼小/ 初级状态慢慢变成成熟/ 高级状态) 。
(2) 表示“逐渐适应；变得适合”(指对某个角色、衣服等慢慢习惯或合身) 。
grow 的相关短语：(1) grow up 长大；成熟
(2) grow in 在……中生长 (3) grow with 随……一起成长
e.g. As the tree grows into a large one, it will provide more shade for us. 当树长成大树时，它会为我们提供更多荫凉。
She needs time to grow into her new job.
她需要时间来适应她的新工作。
I grew up in a small town. 我在一个小镇上长大。
at the top of 意为“在……的顶端/ 顶部”，既可以指具体物体的顶部，也可以指抽象概念的“顶端、最高处”。
top 的相关短语：(1) on top of 在……上面(强调一个物体直接放在另一个物体的表面，可与at the top of 互换，但更侧重“叠加在表面”) ；除……之外；掌握
(2) from top to bottom 从头到尾；彻底地
e.g. The temple stands at the top of the hill. 寺庙坐落在山顶。

长难句分析：这是一个“Here+be 动词+主语.”的倒装句，强调“这里有某物。”句中Here 为副词，置于句首引出倒装；are 是系动词；主语是名词短语some of my observations on the peas’ growth，其中on the peas’ growth 作定语修饰observations。
At the top of the stems are little flower buds!
长难句分析：这是一个倒装句，正常语序为Little flower buds are at the top of the stems!。little flower buds作主语，系动词是are，At the top of the stems作状语。地点状语提前，句子要进行倒装，将are放在主语前。
