We use have/has gone to express the idea that someone went to a place but has not yet returned (某人去了某地,但还没有回来).
e.g. Polly has gone to Shanghai. She’ll be back in 2 weeks.
TIP: 含have gone to的句子中主语的人称一般为第三人称。
1. —Where is Millie —She has gone to America with her family.
2. Suzy is not at home. She has gone to the bookshop.
3. Kitty and her family have gone to Hong Kong. They will come
back next week.
have/has been to 某人去过某地
We use have/has been to express the idea that someone went to a place and has already come back (某人曾去过某地,现在已经回来).
e.g. —Have you ever been to Kunming
—No. I have never been to Kunming.
TIP: 含have been to的句子可以接次数,如once,twice,many times 也可以和 never, ever, just, before等词连用。

have/has been in 某人呆在某地
We use have/has been in to express the idea that someone stays in some place for some time.
e.g. I have been in Huai’an since 2015.

2. He has been in Hong Kong since last year.
TIP: 含have been in的句子中常与一段时间连用,这种状语常包括:1.for+段时间 2.since+时间点 3.since+时间段+ago 4.how long开头
have/has gone to have/has been to have/has been in
含义 去了某地,还没有回来 曾经过去某地,已经回来了 在某地带了多长时间,常与一段时间连用
标志词 Where is ... 次数/ever/never/ just for+一段时间,since...
共同点 后面有home/here/there/somewhere/abroad等地点副词+Where去掉介词 Summary
