一、主语从句的引导词

诵读下列例句并感知加蓝部分的共性

(1)连词that和whether在从句中不作任何句子成分,只起连接从句的
作用。

whether引导的主语从句置于句首时,不可用if来替换。
(2)连接代词有who、 whom、 whose、 what、 which、 whoever、
whatever、 whichever等,在从句中作主语、宾语、表语或定语;连接
副词有where、 when、 how、 why等,在从句中作状语。

who 引导的主语从句表示一件“事情”,而whoever引导的主语从句
指“人”。

以上各句中的It均为 主语,代替that引导的 从句。

为了避免主语显得过长,尤其是陈述句作主语从句时,可以用it作句
子的形式主语,把主语从句移到句子的末尾。it作形式主语时常用于
以下句型:

likely、 possible、 wrong、 natural、 necessary等

三、主语从句的语序和时态问题

上面句子中的蓝体部分均为主语从句,它们的语序均是 语
序;这些句子的时态需要根据 来确定。

1. 主语从句和其他名词性从句一样必须使用陈述语序,尤其是当主语
从句是疑问词引导的时候,主语从句的语序仍须使用陈述语序。

2. 主语从句的时态需要根据具体语境来确定,尤其是当when引导主
语从句的时候,有些同学会和when引导的时间状语从句混淆而误用现
在时表将来。

四、主语从句作主语时谓语动词的单复数

(1)一般情况下,单个主语从句作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。

(2)如果有多个主语从句用and连接,且表示一个整体概念或指同一
件事时,谓语动词也用单数。当多个主语从句用and连接,且表示不
同的概念或事情时,谓语动词用复数。
What he did and how he did it is a secret.
他做了什么以及他是怎么做的是一个秘密。
What he said and what he did show his honesty and responsibility.
他的言行表明了他的诚实和责任感。
(3)如果连接代词what在主语从句中作主语,且其所指代的内容为
复数意义时,谓语动词用复数。
What we need most for the project are some plastic materials.
我们这个项目最需要的是一些塑料材料。
