Sentence Pattern
Taking a Stand
Some argue that:“For a scientist, curiosity matters more than other qualities like patriotism, honesty, humility, courage and perseverance.” What do you think And why
Sample writing
From my perspective, nothing is more important than patriotism.
Although science has no borders, it is a fact that scientists have a motherland. Patriotism, in this sense, is the most natural feeling for any citizen. Take Qian Xuesen, for example. He chose to leave America and return to China when his homeland needed him. It turned out that he played crucial role in advancing China’s space and missile programs, making extraordinary contributions to the landmark “Two Bombs, One satellite” project. It was his deep sense of patriotism that made him give up the advantages abroad and devoted himself fully to his motherland.
In conclusion, patriotism is what inspires great scientists to commit themselves fully to scientific research.
