*Do you have a pencil ↗
*For each incomplete sentence, there are four choices marked A↗ B↗ C↗ and D.↘
*My fever is gone, ↗but I still have a cough.
*Excuse me, sir. ↗Can you help me
*Mrs. Smith,↗ this is Tom Jones.
*I have already seen that movie. ↘
*What has happened to him ↘
*—I graduated from Wuhan University and majored in engineering. ↘
—What was your major ↗
*Go back to your seat! ↘
*What a small world! ↘
*Do you want to drive ↗or walk ↘
*“We are going to Beijing,” she said brightly.
1.You can get some cash at the ATM.
2.Why isn't he doing his share
3.My friend said she was under a lot of pressure at work.
4.They're trying to establish a larger company.

Recently, a cleaner by the name of Chen Liyan has made the headlines for her generous and honest act. The 45 year old Chen was sweeping the floor at Taiyuan Railway Station early last Tuesday morning when she found a small plastic bag near a chair and discovered 100,000 yuan inside. Chen was shocked but she was determined to return the money to its owner.①
When interviewed by the local paper yesterday, Chen said, “I would have felt bad if I had kept the money. After all, the owner might have needed it badly.”
While working, Chen watched carefully for anyone who might have been the owner. She waited for over two hours, but having no luck, she went to the nearest police station to turn the money in. There, it was finally returned to its owner, Wang Zheng.②
Wang thanked Chen repeatedly and apologised for the inconvenience, even offering her 5,000 yuan as a reward. To his surprise, however, Chen refused, believing that it would be wrong to accept money that she had not earned.
But what is even more surprising, perhaps, is that Chen's daughter, 16 year old Liu Xia is currently seriously ill. Chen had already spent the last of her savings on the ongoing treatments and has also taken out a large loan.
Fortunately, Ma Dongbao, who works at the police station, stepped in. Living in the same apartment building as Chen's family, Ma was well aware of Chen's difficulties. When Wang was told about Chen's situation, he decided to set up a fundraising website to pay for Liu's hospital bills.③
Chen Liyan's example shows a different way of thinking about money. Money is important, but to people like Chen, it definitely isn't everything.④ And that's a great attitude to take.
Now in other news, one city in...

W:I went to see a play recently at the local City Theater with my family. It was really exciting. The play was called Detectives. To be honest, when I heard the name of it, I didn't know what to expect. So I wasn't really sure I would enjoy it. But in fact, this was a comedy, so everyone in my family liked it—including me!① We all laughed a lot.
The play itself was full of surprises. The actors weren't very well known, but they were good, and the stage was well decorated too. But my favourite bit was the dancing②—a group of about 12 people came on every time the music started, and they did everything from street dance to ballet!
The City Theater is wonderful inside. The red seats and the curtains are the same as I've seen in our local cinema, but the size of the place really surprised me! It could hold about 1,000 people!③
My parents thought the price of the theater tickets was quite reasonable. They're usually about $50, but they paid $35 each. Mine was $14 because I took my student card with me.④
