At the end of this lesson, students are able to:
1. Understand and tell different types of music and describe their characteristics briefly;
2. Understand and use a communicative strategy “paraphrase”;
express your musical preference and the reasons;
3. Students can talk about their music preferences in simple English after this lesson.

Discussion Questions (Pair Work):

Focus on Strategy: Paraphrasing (释义)
What is Paraphrasing

Using different words to explain what someone means.
It shows you are listening and helps you understand better.
Formula: "So you mean... " / "So it makes you... " / "In other words... "
Examples from the Audio:
Original: "It touches my heart."
Paraphrase: "So you find it emotional "
Original: "I just have to move!"
Paraphrase: "So it makes you want to dance "
How to paraphrase

Understand the Original :
Try to identify the main point and key details.
Set it Aside :
Jot down your understanding of the main ideas based on your memory and notes.
Rewrite:
Using your notes, reconstruct the text. Focus on expressing the ideas in your own style and words.
