The location and the climate of Alabama

Alabama is located in the southeastern United States. It's near the Gulf of Mexico(墨西哥湾). The special location(地理位置) makes Alabama catch extreme weather(极端天气). In March and April every year, Alabama is hit by hurricanes and tornadoes(飓风和台风).
I still remember I went through a heavy storm. On April 27th, 2011, Alabama was hit by 62 tornadoes. It's reported that about 250 people died in the storm. Economic Loss(经济损失) was estimated to be over $10 billion. Thousands of houses were destroyed(毁坏), and infrastructure was seriously damaged(基础设施也遭到严重破坏).
