Trevor Dobruk is a writing teacher at a high school. In one class, his students need to learn how to make children’s books. Dobruk comes up with a great idea: How about working with children to make the books
Dobruk talks to Laura Machlik. Machlik is a kindergarten(幼儿园) teacher, and her school is next to the high school. She loves the idea. Soon, the two classes start to work together.

Do you like horses In many people’s eyes, horses are their most important friends. They are friendly, strong and loyal. The new documentary(记录片) film Horse Power tells us some amazing and true stories about six kinds of horses around the world. It will come out in 2026, and many people are looking forward to it.
One of the stories is about an 8-year-old girl named Alia from Inner Mongolia, China. She lives on a grassland with her father. They have a cute Mongolian horse called “Xiao Bai”. Mongolian horses are famous for their great endurance—they can run for a long time without stopping. Alia and her father train Xiao Bai every morning. They want it to join an 18-kilometer horse race on the grassland. During training, Xiao Bai sometimes gets tired, but Alia always encourages(鼓励) it with carrots and kind words.
Another story is about Przewalski’s horses. They are a rare kind of horse and were once in great danger(危险). Because of the Chinese scientists’ hard work, they built safe living places for these horses. Now the number of Przewalski’s horses is about 700, and it’s still growing.
