Do you know any other traditional Chinese gestures
Step 1 Pick one of the traditional Chinese gestures below for your presentation. You may also choose another one.
Work in groups and make a presentation to introduce a traditional Chinese gesture.
Step 2 Collect information about the gesture.
What is the gesture called
How do we make the gesture
What does the gesture mean
When is it used
When did people start making this gesture
How has this gesture changed over time
Why did you choose this gesture
...
Step 3 Discuss and assign roles within the group.
Planner: Organize the activities of the project.
Researcher: Collect pictures, videos and information about the gesture.
Writer: Write the description of the gesture in English.
Presenter: Introduce the gesture in English.
Actor(s): Act out situations where the gesture is used.
Video director: Make a video about the presentation.
Step 4 Make a presentation with the information you collected.
Example:
Step 5 Make a video for your presentation.
Record video clips for the presentation.
Edit the video and add captions and music to the presentation.
At the end of the video, add credits with the names of the group members and their roles. Remember to thank your teacher.

This project gave me a chance to learn new things about traditional Chinese gestures. It also made me think more about body language and how we use it in daily life. Now, I want to make video about body language in China and share it online!
