1. There be 句型(存在句)的巩固与扩展
核心结构:There + be + 主语 + 地点状语
主谓一致原则(就近原则):be动词的单复数由紧随其后的主语决定。
There is a book and two pens on the desk.(离be动词近的是a book,单数)
There are two pens and a book on the desk.(离be动词近的是two pens,复数)
一般过去时:There was/were...
There was a small house here ten years ago.(过去有)
There were many trees in this area before.(过去有)
将来时:There will be... / There is/are going to be...
There will be a new park in our town next year.
There is going to be a heavy rain this afternoon.
情态动词:There can/must/may be...

2. 情态动词 can/could 表示能力
can 表示现在的能力(能,会)
I can speak English.(我能说英语。)

could 表示过去的能力(能,会),是 can 的过去式

1. There be 句型与 have/has 的混淆:
There be 表示“某处存在某物”。
have/has 表示“某人或某物拥有某物”。
There has a river near my town.
There is a river near my town. 或 My town has a river.
2. can/could 表示能力时的混用:
can 表示现在或将来的能力。
could 表示过去的能力。
Last year I can swim.(去年是过去时间)
Last year I could swim.
Now I can swim very fast.
3. 方位介词 in, on, at 的误用:
在自然地理范围(森林、海洋、天空、沙漠)用 in。
On the sea, we can see many ships.(在海上航行用on,但指在海的范围内用in)
