It’s wonderful that our school plans to launch an after-school labor program. After weighing the two options carefully, I strongly advocate for “Culinary/ k l n ri /美食的 Arts” as our school’s new after-school labor program.
Unlike handcrafts which are fun but often end up as decorations, cooking skills let us solve real-life needs. For example,when our parents are busy, we could make ourselves a bowl of tomato egg noodles—a simple meal that fills us up, instead of just eating snacks. Besides, cooking brings richer class interaction. We could take turns stirring the pot or passing ingredients during preparation,and after cooking, sit together to taste each other’s dishes. This back-and-forth来来回回 makes the class warm and engaging,which I think more classmates will enjoy.
This program combines skill acquisition with fun, and I’m convinced that it will gain great popularity among students.

It’s wonderful that our school plans to launch an after-school labor program. After carefully comparing and thinking, “Dishes Cooking” project wins my preference, as I firmly believe that it is of importance. The reasons are as follows.
To begin with, by joining this program, students can be equipped with several basic cooking skills, which are essential for future living alone, and yet a number of students lack that capability. Additionally, not only does cooking delicious dishes offer us a strong sense of satisfaction and well-being, but it also facilitate students’ all-round development, enhancing their mental health as well as fostering appreciation for all labourers.
The extra-curriculum labor program will undoubtedly serves as a golden chance to cultivate the value of labor in students’ hearts. I will be grateful if you could take my suggestion into consideration.
