When it comes to wildlife protection, all species-the good, the bad, and the ugly-should be treated equally. Pandas, dolphins, and other cute wildlife are important, but we must pay attention to less cute animals, too. The world needs all kinds——without variety, our planet cannot survive. So if you want the future to be beautiful, you have to give ugly a chance.

Billions of trees are being cut down every year to make paper for humans. Every tree that is cut down is a part of the habitat of animals such as these koalas. In this way a lot of animal homes are being destroyed! Is it right to make animals homeless so that humans can have more paper

“Ugly” animals are just as important as cute animals because nature needs variety to function properly.
Cutting down trees to make paper destroys the natural habitat of many animals.
P20
1 The first poster uses an ugly picture of an animal to get a reaction from the reader, but then makes the point that this reaction is part of the problem, because all animals should be protected, not just ones we think are cute. The second has a cute picture and the headline is written as if the koalas were speaking to the reader which may make them more sympathetic(同情的).

2 The posters are intended for everyone because they appeal to protecting our planet which we all live on, and to our paper consumption(消耗) which we all rely on.
3 The first poster wants us to consider "ugly" animals as just as important as cute ones, because it asks us directly to do that. The second wants us to be aware of our paper consumption. It doesn't tell us to change directly, but it appeals to our emotions to change because what we are doing is not fair to animals like koalas.
4 I think the "Give Ugly a Chance" poster is more effective, because the viewer will react to the ugly animal first, but then read that this reaction is part of the problem that needs to be dealt with.

Save the South China Tiger: Our National Treasure Is Dying!
South China Tiger (Panthera tigris amoyensis)
Why is it endangered
Habitat loss: Deforestation and human expansion have destroyed their forest homes, leaving them with no safe space to live and hunt.
Illegal hunting: They are poached for their valuable skin, fur, and bones, which are used in illegal trade.
Small population: There are only a few South China Tigers left in the wild, making it hard for them to breed and increase their numbers.
What is being done
A national conservation plan is being carried out to protect their natural habitats and stop illegal hunting.
Breeding programs in zoos and reserves are helping to raise more South China Tigers, with the goal of releasing them back into the wild.
Strict laws are being enforced to punish poachers and illegal traders of tiger products.
What can we do
Never buy any tiger products, like fur, skins, or traditional medicines made from tiger parts.
Support wildlife conservation groups that protect the South China Tiger.
Learn more about endangered animals and tell your family and friends to help protect them too.
Save the Yangtze River Dolphin: The "Goddess of the Yangtze" Needs Us!
SAMPLE 2
Yangtze River Dolphin (Lipotes vexillifer)
Why is it endangered
Habitat loss: Water pollution, dam construction, and overfishing have damaged their living environment in the Yangtze River.
Human activity: Boat traffic and fishing nets often hurt or kill these gentle dolphins.
Declining food: Overfishing has reduced the number of fish they eat, making it hard for them to survive.
What is being done
Nature reserves are being built along the Yangtze River to protect their living areas.
Scientists are searching for any remaining wild Yangtze River Dolphins to protect and study them.
Clean-up projects are being carried out to reduce water pollution in the river.
What can we do
Clean up rivers and lakes and never throw trash into the water.
Support sustainable fishing to protect the dolphins’ food sources.
Raise awareness about the Yangtze River Dolphin and encourage others to protect our rivers.
