资源简介 Unit 8 Imagine that:Grammar教学设计教学内容 Grammar (pp. 121–122)主要语篇 语法板块语篇教学目标 通过本课的学习,学生能够: 理解because,as,since和because of的含义和用法。 发现和总结原因状语从句和短语because of的使用规则,并能运用规则举一反三。 在真实语境中正确使用原因状语从句或短语because of 陈述原因。教学重点 掌握原因状语从句和短语because of的用法。教学难点 在真实语境中灵活选择恰当的连接词或短语陈述原因。【教学过程】Step 1 观察、发现与总结学生阅读课本第121页的科幻故事概述,回答以下两个问题:Why was there a loud noise last night Why couldn’t the spaceship fly 学生用because回答问题(1),用because of 回答问题(2)。总结归纳语法规则教师引导学生观察科幻故事概述中含有because,as,since和because of句子,提出两个问题:1)When do we use because/as/since and when do we use because of?2)When do we use a comma(,) 学生自行总结归纳规则并通过第121页的“Let’s sum up the rules!” 检验自己的总结是否准确。教师引导学生观察课本第141页的两组例句,遮盖例句上方的语法规则讲解,并提出问题:“Are because, since and as used in the same way ”。学生讨论总结规则后,教师呈现语法规则,检验学生的总结是否准确,并给予必要的补充解释说明。Step 2 操练与实践学生完成课本第122页活动1中“Police officer’s notes”的匹配任务。学生可以两人一组,以问答的方式先匹配正确的回答,随后独立完成活动1的练习。完成练习后,学生通过组内检查和教师呈现答案的形式,检查自己对该语法形式的掌握情况。学生独立完成课本第141页的Grammar review练习。教师带领全班一起核对答案,并请学生朗读练习中的句子。Step 3 活用语法对子活动:学生思考课本第122页活动2Grammar in use 的问题“Do you think aliens exist Why or why not ”,以两人对话形式,就该问题展开讨论,陈述观点并使用原因状语从句或短语because of说明理由。最后,教师抽选学生发表观点,并做适当点评。创意造句:教师引导学生完成创意造句活动,通过展示一些“离奇的事件结果”,要求学生用原因状语从句或短语because of 补全合理且有趣的原因。如:The math textbook pages turned blank ... (because the maths problems were tired of being solved and decided to escape.)The school principal grew dragon wings..All the computers started singing...The ketchup in the kitchen became blue…Step 4 复习巩固学生完成下面改句练习,巩固语法应用:The lake was dangerous.
