Project introduction
Task:
Work in groups to make a poster about one of China’s latest space achievements.
Goal:
Learn about China’s great achievements in space.
Develop a stronger sense of pride in our country’s progress.
Practise research skills by finding information online and presenting the findings in English.
Final Product:
An English poster for a class exhibition.
Choose your topic
In your group, choose one of the following topics (or another topic related to China’s space programme).
China’s manned space programme (e.g., Shenzhou missions, Tiangong space station)
China’s lunar exploration programme (Chang’e missions)
Long March rockets series
Tianwen Mars mission
Outline of the poster
Eye-catching title
Pictures
Make the poster attractive
Introduction
Briefly describe the mission (e.g. the spacecraft, probe)
Key achievements Explain why this mission is important
Clear timeline List major events in time order
Tense(s)
Use the past tense to describe the achievements
What makes a great poster — Evaluation criteria
Teamwork (20%)
Did everyone in the group contribute
Content (30%)
Does the poster contain all necessary parts, such as a title and a timeline
Does the poster provide key information about the topic
Is the information correct
Language (30%)
Is the poster mainly written in the past tense
Are the sentences clear and grammatically correct
Design (20%)
Do the pictures and layout clearly support the content
Is the poster neat and easy to read
Make your poster—Use your notes to create your poster.
Group roles suggestions:
Content writer: Write the text for the poster.
Timeline designer: Create the timeline of the events.
Grammar checker: Review the text for mistakes.
Art designer: Find pictures and design the layout.
Tip: Pay attention to the evaluation criteria when you plan your work.

Look at the other groups’ posters. What did each group do well, and what suggestions do you have for them
