Listen to the announcement and catch key information about the Food Festival；

4. Write a piece of descriptive writing about your favourite food.
Listen to the announcement about the school Food Festival and finish the exercises in part A on page 8 of the textbook.

1. Learn about the text type of a descriptive passage.
2. When writing a descriptive passage about your favourite food, you can follow the structure like this：
　　Of all the foods I have ever tried, __________ is my favourite. There are many versions of __________ from different places around China. They have a variety of __________(介绍种类). I remember trying my first with my family when I was very little. __________(品尝经历) It was a very special moment. When __________ are served on the table, they look __________(外观). 3. Have a practice.

4. Check your writing.
Remember to check your writing after you finish and exchange drafts between you and your partner. Pay attention to the following aspects：

1. Polish up your writing.
2. Try to remember the expressions for describing the characteristics of the food, such as its appearance, smell, taste, feelings and ways of cooking.

As a traditional Chinese food, the dumpling is linked to various festivals, especially the Spring Festival. It has a variety of fillings, which vary according to different seasons. I remember trying my first dumpling with my family when I was very little. The whole family sat around the table to make dumplings together. It is really a good time to enjoy dumplings and the atmosphere is warm and full of love, which is a cherished moment.
In all, I like the dumpling best not only because of its unique flavour, but also because it stands for reunion.
