1.__________(house) in an old railway building, the Musée d'Orsay features some of the best known paintings from the Impressionist movement of the 19th century.
As I 2.__________(wander) through the Impressionist gallery in the Musée d'Orsay, I was most impressed by two of the 3.__________(great) Impressionist painters, Claude Monet and Pierre Auguste Renoir. 4.__________ my surprise, Monet did around 250 paintings of the same water lily pond in different colours and styles. 5.__________(amaze), he brought the beauty of the pond to the canvas in 6.__________ unique way. 2. People visit art museums to appreciate the artists' spectacular masterpieces and to be inspired by creativity. They instil a sense of awe that someone created something so beautiful or unique. Visiting art museums is also one way to learn about cultures, beliefs and traditions. Art museums let us see a country's history through its art. They are the pride of a country because they showcase its creative intelligence.

Para.1: Visiting the Musée d'Orsay was what I was looking forward to most about my trip to Paris.

3. The Impressionists influenced the Post Impressionist painters as well as painters in modern art by encouraging artists to look at the world from an entirely new point of view.
Activity 4
I think it is a good title. It is a good summary of the artistic features of the Impressionists—not trying to paint every detail in a scene but trying to paint a brief “impression” of the feeling they had at that moment, burning with vivid colours and light, before it disappeared. In addition, the title also indicates that this was the first time the writer had laid eyes on real Impressionist works in a museum.
