Do you know who he is
O. Henry
O.Henry, a famous American writer of short stories, was born in 1862. When he was a young boy, he did not go to school for long because of being born in a poor family, but he tried to teach himself everything he needed to know.
When he was about 20 years old, O. Henry went to Texas德克萨斯州. There he tried different jobs. He first worked on a newspaper, and then had a job in a bank银行. But he got himself into some trouble麻烦. Some money went missing from the bank. O. Henry was believed to被认为 have stolen偷 it, so he was sent to prison监狱.
A Brief Introduction to O.Henry
During the three years in prison监狱, he learned to write short stories. After he got out of prison, he went to New York and went on writing. He wrote mostly about New York and the life of the middle and lower class阶级 people. People liked his stories, which are known for humour幽默 and surprising endings. His best known著名的 short stories consist of 包括 Gift of the Maji and The Last leaf.

2. How do you think Bob would react when he read the note
Jimmy was the policeman. He turned up earlier than they agreed twenty years ago, but he decided to fulfill his duty and have Bob arrested.
Bob would be very sad and angry when he read the note because Jimmy was his best friend and he trusted him deeply but Jimmy made him arrested逮捕. Or Bob would feel sort of comfortable because he might think that Jimmy had a good sense of duty and was just and fair. In some ways, he didn’t have to hide隐藏 himself restlessly不安地 in his later life.
