Pre-listening
“The Fisherman and the Goldfish” is a classic fairy tale . The story is about a fisherman who catches a magical goldfish that grants wishes. The tale teaches the moral lesson that moderation is key and excessive greed can lead to loss .
The story“The mouse and the lion” shows the importance of friendship, courage, wisdom and tolerance through the interaction between the little mouse and the big tiger. It also conveys the profound meaning that “do not judge a person by his appearance, everyone has his own value and strength”.
The story of “adding the finishing touch” which is used to describe adding a brilliant sentence at the end of an article or speech to make it more perfect and vivid.
The fable “Seon lost his horse, but knew it was a blessing” tells the story of an old man (Seon) who lost his horse and experienced a series of events, and finally got a blessing from misfortune.
