一、含义
as...as...的意思是“和……一样……”，表示双方某方面程度相同，用于同级比较。
E.g. Li Lei runs as quickly as Li Ming.

二、构成
e.g. Lucy speaks Chinese as well as Lily.
as+形容词/副词原级+as...
e.g. My handwriting is as beautiful as yours.
在否定句中，用“not as/ so +原级形容词/副词as”结构，表示前者不如后者。
三、否定形式

Dear Haoyu,
How is everything going I know you visited Iguazu Falls with your family. And my family took a trip to Heilongjiang last winter.
Our first stop was the frozen Songhua River in Harbin. The temperature was —20℃, so we put on all our warm clothes, gloves and everything we could find.
However, we had a lot of fun there. We tried cars pulling snow rings, skating and many other activities. My dad refused to swim. Well, who said he was not afraid of the cold water before we left for China
That night, my dad dressed up as a snowman and we took a walk in the streets of the city. We saw a band playing cheerful music. My dad danced to it, attracting (吸引) smiles from people around us.
“Look! A cute snowman is dancing!” Many people wanted to take a picture with him.
On the second day, we visited Harbin Ice and Snow World. The huge ice sculptures (雕塑) there were amazing. Then I saw some ice bikes. My sister and I were so interested that we jumped onto the bike and had some exciting races with other children. When the sun went down, the light on the ice sculptures lit them up in bright colours. It was like a dream!
In the following days, we went to other places. Snow Town was one of my favourite places. And we tried many kinds of local food there. My mouth still waters for guobaorou and tieguodun!
In short, one week was not enough for us at all to fully experience this new culture. I wish we could go back to Heilongjiang again!

My classmates and I went on a school trip to a farm last Friday. It was tiring but full of fun! In the morning, we walked around the farm and saw big tents with tomatoes, cucumbers, and many other vegetables. The farmer told us how the vegetables go from the field to our tables. I was really interested in it because I only saw them in books before.
Then we went straight to work. First, we picked some strawberries. The work seemed easy, but it took time to do it well. Slowly, we filled many baskets. In the afternoon, the farmer taught us how to cut branches and leaves from tomato plants. This helps the plants grow more fruit. Later, we watered all the plants. Plants need so much work! It was tiring, but I enjoyed working with my hands.
I learned an important thing that day: Farming isn’t easy! It made me think of a saying: “Every grain comes from hard work.” The farmer let us take some vegetables home. My mum cooked them for dinner, and they were fresh and delicious. They certainly taste better when you work for them! Last Friday was really a day to remember.
