参考范文
Dear Peter,
I’m glad to receive your letter asking about the protection of China’s cultural heritage. Now I’d like to tell you something about it, taking the Mogao Caves as an example.
Since 1994, researchers from China and other countries have been working together on a digital project for the Mogao Caves, a key stop on the ancient Silk Road. As a meeting point of different cultures, the caves have great historical and cultural value, attracting tourists worldwide.
To protect them, we have taken many measures. Nearly 500,000 high-quality digital photos have been taken, and they are shared online to arouse global interest. Besides, some foreign museums have reproduced the caves for people to admire.
This project not only helps safeguard the caves for future generations but also promotes international communication and understanding.
I hope you can have a chance to visit China and appreciate our brilliant cultural heritage.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
