【用法归纳】
存现句是英语中常用的句型, 常用“There is/are+某物(某人)+某地(某时)”结构表示, 意为“某地或某时有某物或某人”。there 无实际意义, 常弱读成 / /。
1. 一般现在时中存现句的句式结构,详见教材p105。
2. 存现句的主谓一致
(1)存现句中的be动词要和后面的主语在数的面保持一致。在一般现在时的存现句中,若主语为可数名词单数或不可数名词, be动词用is;若主语为可数名词复数, be动词用are。
(2)当存现句的主语由几个并列的名词(短语)构成时, be动词的单复数由第一个名词(短语)的数决定, 即“就近原则”。例如:
