take sb. doing sth. 为固定搭配，表示 “带某人去做某事”。
for the first time 表示 “第一次”。
句子意为“在我五岁的时候，爸爸第一次带我去滑冰。”
fell over 意为“摔倒”，原形为fall over；at the beginning 表示 “一开始、起初”。
enjoyed skating 是 enjoy doing sth. 结构，表示 “喜欢……”；from then on 表示 “从那时起”。句子意为“一开始我总是摔倒，但从那时起我就喜欢上了滑冰。”
用过去时描述人物的出生地：
I was born+出生地点.
wish to do sth. 表示 “希望做某事”，语气比 want 更正式、更强烈。
do one's best to do sth. 是固定搭配，意思是 “尽某人最大努力去做某事”；make one's dream come true 也是固定短语，指 “让某人的梦想成真”。本句意为“我正在尽最大努力让我的梦想成真。”
