up to 正在做;由某人决定
(1)常用于口语中,表示“正在做”,相当于doing。
e.g. The kids are being very quiet——what do you think they're up to?

(2)由某人决定
e.g. —Shall we eat out or stay in?咱们是到外面吃饭还是待在家里?
—It's up to you. 你决定吧。

拓展:up to的其他用法:(1)达到(某数量、程度等);至多有

poem 可数名词 表示单篇作品
poetry 不可数名词 指诗的总称或诗歌这一文学形式

return n.&v. 回来;归还
(1)【名词】回来;归还 通常用单数形式。
in return (for sth.)作为(对······的)回报
e.g. Can I buy you lunch in return for your help
感谢你帮忙,我请你吃午饭好吗?
(2)【不及物动词】回来;返回 相当于go/come back。
return to+地点名词 return+地点副词 返回某地
e.g. The Mengzhou spacecraft returns to Earth with the moon samples.

5. I can teach you to play a song in return. 作为回报,我可以教你弹首歌。
(3)【及物动词】归还
return sth. to sb. = give sth. back to sb. 把某物归还给某人
e.g. I'm going to return this book to Tom.
= I’m going to give this book back to Tom. 我要把这本书还给汤姆。

deal n.交易;协议 / v. 对付
(1)【名词】交易;协议 make a deal (with sb.) (和某人)达成协议

—It's a deal!那就这么定了!
(2)【动词】对付 过去式和过去分词均为:dealt 。
deal with 意为“应付;处理;解决”,与do with同义。
e.g. AI can make personal learning plans to help deal with children's difficulties.

拓展:【名词】大量;许多 a good/great deal of“大量;很多”,常用于
修饰不可数名词。

manage v.完成(困难的事);管理
(2)管理;负责(公司、队伍、组织等)
manage v. 管理→ manager n.管理者→ management n. 管理;经营
e.g. His father is a manager. He manages an advertising company.
He does well in management. 他父亲是一个管理者。他管理着一家
广告公司。他擅长管理。
拓展:manage还可意为“明智地使用(金钱、时间、信息等)”。
e.g. Zhang Hua, our monitor, is organized and thoughtful enough to
