Once upon a time, an emperor loved / liked clothes very much. He wanted to buy some new clothes.
Two brothers came and lied to him, “We can make wonderful clothes! But only clever / smart people can see them!” They pretended to make the clothes.
The emperor’s officials couldn’t see the clothes, but they said, “What lovely clothes!” The emperor couldn’t see anything either, but he said, “They’re beautiful!” No one wanted to look silly.

Once upon a time, there was an emperor who liked new clothes very much. Two brothers came to the city to make special clothes for the emperor. They said that stupid people could not see the clothes. They asked for much gold and silk, but they kept everything for themselves. They pretended to work for a long time every day until the special clothes was OK. Then the emperor wore nothing but his underwear, walking on the street. Although everybody saw this, they didn’t say anything. At last, a young boy shouted that the emperor wore nothing.
