2. must 与 have to 的区别
情态动词 用法 例句
must 表示主观上认为“必须”,强调说话人的个人意志 “I must run away from them,” Gulliver thought.(“我必须逃离他们,”格列佛想。)
have to 表示客观上“不得不”,强调外界的 necessity 或规则要求 I have to renew the book because I haven‘t finished it.(我不得不续借这本书,因为我还没读完。)
must not (mustn‘t) 表示“禁止”,绝对不可以做某事 You must not smoke in the library.(你禁止在图书馆吸烟。)
don‘t have to 表示“不必”,没有必要做某事 We don’t have to go to school at weekends.(我们周末不必上学。)
用法对比:
must 通常用于描述规章制度或说话者的强烈要求
have to 有多种时态形式(had to, will have to),而 must 只有现在时形式
