(1) would like 和want 表示“要;想要”,但两者语气上差别较大。前者礼貌委婉、正式规范,后者直接、非正式且随意。
其常见搭配:① would like to do sth ② want to do sth
e.g. I’d like a cup of black tea with milk, please.
请给我来杯加奶的红茶。
I want some hot tea, Mom.
妈妈,我想喝些热茶。

(2) order ①作动词时,意为“点菜;预订”
order sth 点/预订某物
e.g. I want to order a pizza for dinner.
我想订一份披萨当晚餐。
order sb sth=order sth for sb 为某人点/预订某物
e.g. Jenny ordered her friend a cake.
Jenny ordered a cake for her friend.
珍妮为她的朋友订了一个蛋糕。
②order 作动词讲也有“命令;嘱咐”的意思
order sb to do sth 命令某人做某事
e.g. The teacher ordered the students to finish their homework.
老师命令学生们完成作业。
【拓展】
①order 作名词时,意为“点菜;订购(可数)、秩序;顺序(不可数)”
take one’s order 点菜
in order 有序地;整齐地
out of order 杂乱无章地
②in order to do sth = in order that+从句,意为“为了……”,可与 so as to do sth /so that +从句替换。
e.g. Tina comes to China in order to experience Chinese culture.
= Tina comes to China in order that she can experience Chinese culture.
= Tina comes to China so as to experience Chinese culture.
= Tina comes to China so that she can experience Chinese culture.
