1. 动词不定式的构成
由“to+动词原形”构成,有些情况下可省略to。是非谓语动词的一种,没有人称和数的变化,在句中不能作谓语。

2. 用法
(1) 作宾语,常接动词不定式作宾语的动词有want, refuse, forget, need, try, learn, choose, agree, help, hope, wish, expect, decide, begin, start等。
Lily wants to find a job as an English teacher in Beijing. 莉莉想在北京找一份英语教师的工作。

(2) 作宾语补足语,常接动词不定式作宾语补足语的动词有:ask, allow, tell, want, teach, wish, help, warn, invite, encourage 等。
Sam asked me to help him. 萨姆让我帮助他。

(3) 作目的状语,动词不定式作目的状语可以放在句首, 一般用逗号与后面的内容隔开,也可以放在句尾。
To get there on time, they started early. 为了准时赶到那儿,他们很早就出发了。

注意
(1) 动词不定式的否定形式是由“not+动词不定式”构成。
Jim told me not to eat junk food. 吉姆告诉我不要吃垃圾食品。
(2) 动词不定式可与疑问词what, which, how, where 等连用。
I don’t know how to do. 我不知道怎么做。

(3) 在某些复合宾语中,常用it代替不定式作形式宾语,而把不定式放在后面。
I find it useful to learn English well. 我发现学好英语很有用。
(4) 表示感觉的动词,如see, hear, notice, feel等,以及使役动词let, have, make 等后常用省略to的不定式。
I heard her sing a song in the next room. 我听见她在隔壁房间唱了一首歌。
