教学目标 学生能理解故事意思并复述故事内容,突破故事中的生难词和语法;能听懂、读懂并运用描述夜间工作的核心句型,完成填空与仿写任务;能准确回答“night owls”的定义。(语言能力) 2.尊重夜间工作者的劳动价值,理解“night owls”的俚语文化内含,感知英语语言的文化特性;认识夜间职业的职责(如保障公共安全、提供便民服务),体会劳动者的奉献精神。(文化意识) 3.能分类归纳夜间职业的职责,培养思维的发散性,思考并体会夜间职业,培养逻辑思维与共情意识;拓展对职业范畴的认知,培养思维的开放性。(思维品质) 4.锻炼学生理解英语语篇主题和提炼故事中心思想的能力,提高学 生总结和复述的能力;能将课堂所学知识迁移到生活中,主动观 察身边的夜间工作者,实现语言知识的生活化应用。(学习能力)

Step 1 Warm up&Review&Lead in 通过复习第一课时的歌曲、主题词汇、重点句型及课文内容,带领学生快速进入单元主题情境,提升学生的参与度和积极性。加强课程之间的联系。且多方式、多角度复习,让学生形式多方位立体式学习。
Warm up: Let’s sing 课件呈现Get ready Part 1歌曲,让学生们随着音频一起唱歌。播 放歌曲时,教师可在教室里四处巡视,对表现好的同学给予奖励。 T: Do you remember this song Let’s sing together. Review Look and guess 课件呈现不同职业相关的图片,例如工作地点、工作用品或者工 作服饰等……学生们根据所呈现的图片来说出对应的工作。 T: Now I will show you some pictures, you can guess the jobs. If you are right, you can get the points. Driver game 以司机开车的场景复习单词,教师需提前告知开车规则。红灯时 需读单词四次,黄灯时需读单词三次,绿灯时不读单词。 T: Let’s play a driver game. You must pay attention to the traffic lights. If you see the red light, you should read the words four times. If it’s the yellow light, you should read the words three times. And when it’s the green light, please don’t read the words and be quiet. OK. Are you ready Ask and answer 课件呈现多个职业图片,学生们根据图片和句子提示和伙伴对话。 T: Look at the pictures and sentences. Please ask and answer with your plete and act(P6-7) 教师以不同形式给学生分组(男女分组,单双数分组等……), 让学生们以组的形式填空并做角色扮演读出对话。 Lead in(课前引入) 课件以夜晚的形式呈现,让学生听声音猜测是什么动物,同时跟随课件动画寻找动物。 T: It’s night. So dark! Listen, what’s this Let’s find. Ss: 是猫头鹰。 课件呈现夜猫头鹰,以夜猫头鹰的角度来介绍自己,说明“A night owl”的含义,并教授故事第一段内容。
Step 2 Presentation&Practice 以故事第一视角来展开,提高教学的氛围感,让学生能身临其境的学习。 通过对故事的设问,提高了学生们观看视频的认真度,也引起了学生们的好奇心。
Presentation. Speed up Lead in.(衔接上面的引入环节) 教师以夜猫头鹰的视角来教授的故事第一段内容,其中生僻词汇 需单独教授和操练。教授完后,让学生们扮演夜猫头鹰输出文段。 Listen, read and tick.(P11-13) 针对上下文内容,提出问题“Who are night owls ”并给出 多个职业选项,教师可选择多名学生来读并讲解职业。 T: Many people are “night owls”, too. Here are some jobs. Who can read and translate S1: Firemen 消防员,doctors and nurses 医生和护士。 S2: Farmers 农民 …… (2)其中“bus driver”和“taxi driver”需教授并操练。教师板书: bus driver,taxi driver。 参考操练方式: ①词组拆分练习:准备三张卡片(bus,taxi和driver)出示卡片, 学生们说出对应的单词,当出示的卡片单词能组成词组时,学生 需快速反应站起来读并翻译。 ②你画我猜。选择一位学上上台,他来做动作描述公交车或者出 租车,下面的学生猜是“bus driver”,还是“taxi driver”。 (3)了解过所有的给出的职业后播放音频,让学生找出哪些人是 “night owls”。教师选择学生分享答案,然后带着学生读故事核 对答案。 T: Yes, we know these jobs. And who are night owls Let’s listen, read and tick. Please listen carefully. 根据故事内容,以下职业为“night owls”: Firemen, doctors and nurses, bus drivers, taxi drivers, police officers. Let’s learn.(故事学习)(P14-18) 教师可先播放音频让学生跟读,熟悉文段,再来随文讲解知识点。 每段讲解并学习完后,让学生们再次跟音频读文段,也可选择学 生单独输出。 (文段部分可参考的操练方法:小组读、男女生读、小老师带读) 教师板书:safe nurse light Time to go!=It’s time to go. 是时候做某事了。 Practice. Say out the words. (P19) 课件呈现单词操练游戏,让学生输出故事中学习的关键词汇。学 生看到词组需大声读出并翻译。 T: Review some words we have learnt. Watch and follow. 播放Speed up动画视频,学生观看视频并跟读句子。学生再次熟 悉故事并练读。(教师可播放视频,根据课程进度决定是否进行) Read and answer. (P21-24) 呈现Speed up的情景图片,教师播放音频,学生进行跟读。个别 读音难的单词,老师可单独进行带读操练。最后教师询问学生 “What are ‘night owls’ ”。 Read again. Write the jobs. (P27) 课件呈现Speed up Part 2的图片。让学生们再次朗读故事,读完 后让学生们先自行完成题目书写句子。教师再来找学生分享答案, 带领学生核对答案。 T: After reading, let’s write down the sentences based on the pictures. Then I will choose some students to share the sentences. Draw and write about another night job. (P29) 让学生思考并讨论还有哪些职业是“夜猫头鹰”,然后给予学生 时间画画并书写句子。这期间教师可在教室中巡视,适当的提供 帮助。最后选择学生来分享自己的画和句子。(也可作为课后作 业,于下节课上分享完成的较为优秀的作品)
Step 3 Consolidation&Emotional education 设计补充文段、表演和配音活动三个环节,让学生在愉快且富有有故事情境的情况下复述故事内容,锻炼口语表达能力。 让学生们对故事及核心概念展开讨论,说出自己的感受和受到的启发。 提高学生表达的欲望并锻炼学生总结的能力,培养逻辑思维能力和共情意识。
Consolidation. Choose your partners and act. 教师准备夜猫头鹰的头套和多个夜间职业(公交车司机、出租车司机、医生、护士、警察和消防员)的工作工具或服饰(例如:司机—方向盘,护士—温度计等,均可用卡片,而不是实物)。学生们多人一组,以小组为单位分角色扮演故事。根据流利程度、熟练程度和表演情况评选出最佳小组。 T: Now you should choose your partners and act out the story. Go go quickly! Complete and say. (P25-26) 课件呈现Speed up文段,其中部分内容已被挖空,学生根据记忆 和图片提示来填空,并且需流利输出文段。 T: Let’s review the night owls. We should complete paragraphs and say them out. Who can try Let’s dub.(教师可根据上课情况来选择是否进行) 课件中呈现Speed up无声动画视频(可直接静音动画视频),请 学生练习语音语调并进行配音。请3组学生进行配音表演。选出 最佳配音演员。 T: Who can try Let’s be voice actors. Emotional education. A night owl的概念(P9) “A night owl”意思是“夜猫头鹰”,实际是指“夜猫子”—也 就是习惯熬夜、在夜间更有精神和活力的人。 情感教育(P28) 在故事学完,题目完成后,教师可增加情感教育。询问学生故事 中的“night owls”和一开始学习的“night owls”是同一个意思吗? “night owls”到底指的是什么呢?(night owls指是夜间工作者, 为了履行自己的职责而在晚上工作的人)总结故事中每个职业的 职责,且聊一聊自己的感受。其次,可展示夜间工作者的实拍图 (环卫工、熬夜护士),引导学生对夜间工作者表达尊重与感恩。
Step 4 Summary&Homework
1.小结: Story: Night owls 在总结时,教师可以先让学生复述故事内容,再让学生表达读完 故事的想法和受到的启发。 2.作业: 听录音,熟读故事Night owls,并向家人复述故事内容; 画出你身边的“night owls”,并描述他们的工作内容。
