情态动词 can 的用法
情态动词是动词的一种,表示说话人的语气和态度等,没有人称和数的变化,有一定的意义,但不能单独使用,不能单独作谓语,必须和实义动词或连系动词一起构成谓语。常见的情态动词有 can、need、may 等。

3.speak English 说英语
speak作及物动词时,其后接语言类名词作宾语,意为“说某种语言;使用某种语言”。
e.g. He can speak French very well. 他法语说得很好。

speak作不及物动词,通常指说话的能力,也可以表示交谈,还可以表示“发言;讲话”。
e.g. The baby can’t speak. 这个宝宝不会说话。
