区分长动作 (持续发生) 和短动作 (瞬间完成),这是选择连词和确定时态的前提。
2. 一长一短动作的合并规则
when:可引导长动作或短动作,长动作需用过去进行时,短动作需用一般过去时;语序灵活,引导的从句放句首时加逗号,放句尾时不加逗号。
while:只能引导长动作,且长动作要用过去进行时,主句放短动作 (一般过去时);不能直接引导短动作,从句放句首时加逗号。

when/while 均可使用,主从句都必须用过去进行时,突出两个动作同步发生;其中 while 更强调动作的全程同步性。

(1) while 不能直接接短动作的一般过去时;
