状语从句
在复合句中，用作状语的从句叫作状语从句。根据所表达的意思，状语从句可分为 时间、地点、原因、条件、结果、目的和让步等类型。

1. unless 引导条件状语从句
意为“除非；如果不”，引导条件状语从句，相当于if ... not 。 遵循“主将从现”原则 (主句用一般将来时，则 unless 引导的条件状语从句多用一般现在时代替一般将来时)
如：He will go there unless it rains. = He will go there if it doesn’t rain. 如果不下雨，他将会去那里。

2. as soon as 引导时间状语从句
意为“一……就……”，引导时间状语从句，遵循“主将从现”原则。
如：I’ll tell him as soon as I see him. 我一见到他就会告诉他。

3. so ... that ... 引导结果状语从句
意为“如此……以至于……”，引导结果状语从句，so 后接形容词或副词，that 后的从句表示结果。
如：He was so angry that he couldn’t say a word. 他如此生气，以至于说不出话来。
He speaks so clearly that everyone can understand him. 他讲得很清楚，每个人都能听懂。

(1) 当 that 引导的结果状语从句为肯定句时，可与be ... enough to do sth 进行转换。
如：He is so clever that he can solve the problem. = He is clever enough to solve the problem. 他足够聪明，能解决这个问题。

(2) 当 that 引导的结果状语从句为否定句时，可与 too ... to ... 或 be not ... enough to do sth 进行转换
如：He was so short that he can’t reach the shelf. = He was too short to reach the shelf. = He is not tall enough to reach the shelf. 他太矮了，以至于够不到架子。

4. such ... that ... 引导结果状语从句
意为“如此……以至于……”，引导结果状语从句，such 后接名词 (短语)，that 后的从句表示结果。
(1) such + a/an + 形容词 + 可数名词单数 + that...
It’s such a nice day that we want to go to the park. 天气这么好，我们想去公园。
(2) such + 形容词 + 不可数名词 + that...
There is such heavy rain that we can’t go out. 雨下得这么大，我们没法出门。
(3) such + 形容词 + 可数名词复数 + that...
They are such interesting books that I read them twice. 这些书太有趣了，我读了两遍。
