There are many great people around the world whom we can learn a lot from. My hero is Yuan Longping who is known as the Father of Hybrid Rice. Let me give you a brief introduction about him.
My Hero — Yuan Longping
He was born in Beijing in 1930. After trying hard to study, he successfully graduated from the Southwest University in 1953. In the 1960s, he began to research hybrid
rice. About 10 years later, he led the "Super Hybrid Rice" project and broke the world records. He helped China have enough to eat and end hunger. In 2019, he won the Republic Medal, China’s highest honor. Finally, he passed away in Changsha in 2021.
He was simple, hard-working and full of love for people. In a word, he is really the pride of China.
