1. I practised my speech by myself for hours yesterday.
“practised my speech by myself” 是 “practise + 活动 + by oneself” 结构,“practise” 后接动名词,“by myself” 表 “独自;靠自己” ,用于说明做某事的方式。
常见例句:
She practised playing the piano by herself for two hours last night.
她昨晚独自练了两小时钢琴 。
2. I fell off my bike! I didn’t expect to see someone
around the corner.
“fell off ”是 fall off 的过去式,意为 “从…… 跌落;从…… 掉下来” ,后接掉落的对象。
expect to do sth(期望 / 预料做某事 ),expect后接动词不定式,说明过去没预料到的动作。
常见例句:
The cat fell off the wall and ran away.

3. But no more sweet things.
“no more + 名词(sweet things)” ,“no more” 表 “不再;别再” ,强调数量或程度上 “不再有、别再有” 。
