A: 上述句子中hurt的词性不一样,其对应的意思和用法也不一样。第一 句中hurt是及物动词(vt.),意思为“使……受伤”。第二句中hurt是不及 物动词(vi.),意思为“感到疼痛”;第三句中hurt是形容词(adj.),意思为 “受伤的”。在英语中,一词多义多词性的情况很多,如free、rest、 bandage等。 我们需要平时不断积累,才能准确地判断。
(1)You should rest at home. (rest作动词用,意思为“休息;放松”。)
You could get some rest for now. (rest作名词用,意思为“休息”。)
(2)I am free today. (free作形容词用,意思为“空闲的”。)
Aron couldn’t free his arm caught under a rock. (free作动词用,意思为“释 放;解放”。)
(3)Put a bandage on your arm. (bandage作名词用,意思为“绷带”。)
He bandaged himself so that he would not lose too much blood. (bandage作动 词用,意思为“用绷带包扎”。)

A: “others”和“another, the other, the others”用法如下:
(1)一定范围内或两个人(物)中,特指剩下的“另一个”用“the other”(可 接单数可数名词),特指“剩下的那些”,用the other+复数可数名词。
(2)泛指三者或三者以上中的另一个,用another(可接单数可数名词)。如: This glass is broken. Bring me another, please. (这个杯子坏了, 请给我 另拿一个来。)(在许多杯子中的一个)
(3)表示在一个范围内的其他全部, 用the others或the other+复数可数名 词。如: This movie is better than the others/ the other movies. (这部电影比 别/其余的好。)
(4)泛指别的人或物时,用others。即当在一定范围内,除去一部分后,剩 余部分但不是全部时,用others。如: The students were in the classroom. Some cleaned the windows, others swept the floor… (学生们在教室里。有 的擦窗户, 有的扫地……)
